Autostereoscopy:3D without glasses

It is the process of displaying 3D images without using specialized headgear. It is also known as glasses free 3D and is major technology used in 3D smartphones such as HTC EVO 3D and LG Optimus 3D and also in some portable gaming device.
This technology uses the principle of parallax barrier to deliver different images to each eye.The latest and most convenient design does not have the physical parallax barrier in front of the pixels, but behind the pixels and in font of the backlight. Thus it doesn't send different images but different light to the two eyes. This allows the the two channels of light to pass through the pixels, allowing glare over the opposite pixels, giving the best image quality. For example this technology is used in Nintendo 3DS to remove these drawbacks.
The development of the 3D gaming has actually been in the works for the past few decades or so. Nintendo was actually one of the first video game  developers to integrate 3D technology into its gaming devices such as the Virtual Boy . However, these  were only met with limited success, partly because the 3D technology behind these devices left a lot to be desired. Nintendo persevered in integrating 3D into their projects until the handheld Nintendo 3DS was announced to the world.

What most commonly word used here is parallax barrier,so what is it?
parallax barrier is a device placed in front of an image source, such as a liquid crystal display, to allow it to show a stereoscopic image ormultiscopic image without the need for the viewer to wear 3D glasses. Placed in front of the normal LCD, it consists of a layer of material with a series of precision slits, allowing each eye to see a different set of pixels, so creating a sense of depth through parallax in an effect similar to what lenticular printing produces for printed products.
So this technology is gonna rock the world and 3D will be everywhere from small games to large screens in theatre and offices..
